LORENZ DARRYL SCHMIDT Died peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2007, at the Riverview Health Centre. Lorenz is survived by his loving mother Heidi; father Wilfred of Victoria; sister Diana (Stefan); Oma Else Weppler; many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as special friends, Rick, Roger, Kathy and Leigh and family. Lorenz was born on October 27, 1965. He worked for the City of Winnipeg for 16 years and enjoyed his time with co-workers. He dearly loved his NASCAR racing, Sunday night car shows and especially the wing nights with Rick and Roger. He enjoyed going to football and hockey games, family events and dinner with his friends. Lorenz will be deeply missed especially by our pets Daisy and Cocoa. We love you, Lorenz. A very special thanks goes to all the nurses and staff in the 3E wing of Riverview Health Centre and Dr. G. Schroeder and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre CancerCare. A celebration of Lorenz's life will be held on Friday, March 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
